The Hero...

when he started, he was nothing but one of hundreds of thousands of identical, monotonous and apathetic sensors. Seemingly ordinary and featureless, it was magic and fate that marked him. Now, he lives on the run and his life is a classic tragedy where he’s dragged along by his own story. But the intensity of these experiences has given him special abilities and the capacity for things yet to be discovered.

The Alter Ego...

is an exasperating chatterbox. He originally came to this universe as a parasite in order to awaken the sensor, but his initial objective changed when an unexpected explosive accident that blasted him out of his host.

In this new version he becomes an extension of the hero who accompanies him and gives him advice and clarifications, shapeshifting at will to express himself.

The Snake...

is omnipresent in this story, always hovering around the Instrument, piercing reality and appearing to intervene at key moments. Its origin and mission are unknown, but it obviously knows about the great problems that the Anomaly will cause. It travels freely through the Substance, waiting for us to discover its hidden enigmas.

The Masters...

are yet to be revealed. Apparently, they know the mission of our hero and can intervene in his future. There are several of them and they all carry amulets whose power is linked to how they appear. So far, we know that they can alter dreams, emotions and fate itself. We will soon learn more, both about them and with them.
